A ceremony was held in the conference hall, on February 16, 2009, in the honour of scholars who recently obtained their PhD degrees under the aegis of College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences (Minhaj University). Member of Supreme Council (MQI), Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, presided over the programme, whereas COSIS principal Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Allama Miraj-ul-Islam, Mutfi Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi, Prof Muhammad Nawaz Zafar, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Mian Muhammad Abbas, Dr Ali Akber al-Azhari, Col. (r ) Muhammad Ahmad, Ali Ghazanfer Kararvi, Muhammad Hussain Azad, Allama Shahid Lateef Qadri, Hafiz Niaz Ahmad, and other leaders of MQI also participated in the ceremony.

Karachi University approved the award of PhD degree to Muhammad Naeem Anwar Nomani, the member of Supreme Council (MQI), on January 15, 2009. The topic of his thesis was "Research study of Hadith-narrators of Punjab in the gradual evolution of Hadith sciences" (1947-2002).
The first procession of the representatives of Minhajians was held at Sharia College on the 24th may 2007. Allama Shaykh-ul-Hadith presided over it. A well-known jurist of national repute and religious scholar, Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazaravi, Prof. Nawaz Zafar and Mian Muhammad Abbas also participated in it. In this procession the representatives of Minhajians from the session 1991 to 2006 participated.
Dr Abdu` Razzaq Blackhirst delivered a lecture at The Minhaj University Lahore. His topic was "Relevance of Muslim Mysticism in Modern Times." Dr Abdu` Razzaq Blackhirst covered all the aspects of mysticism and called it the need of the day and taking arguments from the historical background. He said that mysticism was always relevant and important for human predicaments.
A function was held at The Minhaj University (TMU), Township Campus, to celebrate the charter being awarded to the Minhaj University by the Government of Punjab. The university received its charter last month when the Punjab Provincial Legislative Assembly passed The Minhaj University Lahore Act 2005.
CWC (Central Working Committee) held a meeting on 29 and 30 June 2004 with Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at the Central Secretariat of Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran. In the meeting, the Invitation and Training Departments were handed over to Minhajians. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri also approved a week long Training Camp for Minhajians from across the Country. It followed special preparations from first to eight August to arrange a successful Camp.
Minhaj Internet Bureau (MIB) launched the new version of www.Minhajians.org. (Minhajians are the alumni of The Minhaj University's College of Shariah and Modern Sciences (COSMOS).) Minhajians.org excels all other websites of its kind, and contains the description of minhajians since their very first session.
